Position Summary:
 
Applied Energy Technology Corporation (AETC) is a recognized leader in the design, development, qualification, and manufacturing of life-support pyrotechnic and explosive components. We are seeking motivated individuals who thrive on making an impact and contributing to a winning team in the role of Technician I.

AETC specializes in various product applications, including fire extinguisher cartridges that power fire extinguishers on military and commercial aircraft. Other products include SMDC initiators, cutters, piston-pushers, piston pullers, valves, and pyrotechnic time delays. Many of these products are designed to operate explosive devices such as Electro-Explosive Devices (EEDs), Exploding Bridge Wires (EBWs), and Exploding Foil Initiators (EFIs).
 
Responsibilities:

  • Removal of and reinstallation of Electrical Assemblies from unit housing
  • Perform Conformal Coating and Bonding requirements for the units.
  • Build Manifolds for units that require modification.
  • Remove and replace through hole and surface mount electronic components.
  • Remove corrosion and clean all unit surfaces then touch up bare metal with chem film as required.
  • Perform Final Assembly of units.
  • Successful completion of a background check and drug screening.
  • Must meet US Persons criteria due to facility access restrictions.
Qualifications: 
 
  • Ability to read and understand complex drawing and assembly instructions.
  • Ability to use common hand tools to assemble electromechanical assemblies.
  • Ability to lift and move boxes.
  • Must be able to use Microscopes, screw drivers, torque tools and other common hand tools.
  • Experience with soldering irons is highly desired.
