Scott & White Healthcare – Brenham hosts Seniors Day 2012

Scott & White Hospital – Brenham’s 15^th Annual Seniors Day is set for Wednesday, April 4, at the Brenham Fire Department Training Center on U.S. Highway 290 in Brenham from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The event includes free health screenings, informational booths, entertainment and refreshments for our valued older citizens.  The Scott & White Wellness Center staff coordinates the event from start to finish.

Scott & White works in partnership with approximately 60 area healthcare providers, organizations, businesses and agencies to provide the event.  These partners help in many ways including:  providing monetary and in-kind donations, staffing booths and providing entertainment and refreshments. The LCRA Employees United Charities has once again provided a generous contribution to help fund publicity for Seniors Day.

There are no age or residency requirements to attend the event, and family members and friends are welcome.  Dozens of informational booths will be available highlighting services from home health to spa care and fall safety, and free health screenings will be offered. 

The Brenham Police Department’s Citizens on Patrol group will be on hand again this year to help with parking and transportation.  Scott & White Healthcare’s volunteers play a major role at Seniors Day – manning the registration booth, preparing sandwiches, providing cookies and serving food.
