Little Mary Sunshine - Unity Theatre

Unity Theatre presents, "Little Mary Sunshine", a Musical by Rick Besoyan.

 

Make believe it's a simpler time, that there's a good man for very virtuous woman, that justice always triumphs, and that God blesses America.  This is the world of Little Mary, who has bought an inn in the mountains of Colorado and, even though she cannot make the mortgage payments, she know that the handsome hero is courageous, villains will be defeated, and nothing must dim a sunny disposition.  This is a musical spoof of old-time operettas, of Nelson Eddy and Jeanette MacDonald, of favorites like "Rose Marie" and "Naughty Marietta".  It's not modern.  It's not edgy.  It's a sweet story poking fun at other sweet stories.
