“The Man Who Thought
Like a Ship”
Loren Steffy, author and business columnist
for the Houston Chronicle, will return to speak on his book The Man Who Thought Like a Ship, chronicling his father’s reconstruction of an ancient ship from the reign of Alexander the Great, making him the first person to accomplish such a feat.
Colleague and distinguished Professor Emeritus George F. Bass of A&M’s Institute of Nautical Archaeology states that “Dick Steffy created an entirely new branch of archaeology…” and calls Loren Steffy’s book “… [a] beautifully written and intimate biography…” that readers need not be academics or armchair archaeologists to enjoy….”
There will be time for questions and signed copies of
Mr. Steffy's book will be available for purchase.
