God of Carnage
Inspired by the play "Le Dieu duCarnage" by Yasmina Reza.
Two sets of parents meet to resolve a conflict that began when one child hit another child with a stick in the mouth. However, as the evening progresses, the parents' attempt to solve the issue in a "civilized manner" turns to chaos when each adult becomes increasingly childish. This dark comedy was the winner of the 2009 Laurence Olivier Award for Best New Comedy, as well as Best Play, Best Direction, and Best Actress in a Play at the 2009 Tony Awards.
