Christkindlmarkt Bellville 2012

The 2nd Annual Christkindlmarkt Bellville will begin on Friday evening with a Welcome Ceremony describing the origins of the Christkindlmarkt event. 

This will be followed by a children's lantern parade accompanied by KTEX and the lighting of the historic square leading down into the mini park where there will be authentic German music presented by "Das Ist Lustig", German food, beer, hot-spiced Gluehwein and shopping.  Santa and Mrs Claus will also be on hand with Nutcrackers, Charles Dickens and The Christkind for photo opportunities.  Storytelling will be held in the "Kinderfest" children's area.

The fun continues on Saturday November 24th from 10:00am to 10:00pm with more music by "Das Ist Lustig", Gene Hackemack and his strolling accordian as well as Robert Herridge.  There will also be dancing presented by the Center Stage Company and the Rathkamp German Folk dancers.  The evening will continue with contests, more music, photos, food and of course shopping.
